Understanding Job Source (Application Source Tracking)

The Job Source shows where a candidate applied from. This helps you track and understand which channels are driving applicants.

Where to Find Job Source

  1. Go to Pipelines or Applicant Match

  2. Open a candidate profile

  3. Locate the Source field in the application details


Available Source Options

When reviewing or assigning a source, you may see:

Predefined Sources

  • Careers Page – Candidate applied via your company site

  • External Job Board – Candidate applied through a job board

  • Direct / Shared Link – Candidate used a shared interview/job link


Custom / Additional Sources

  • Referral

    • Allows adding referral details

    • Text field available for more context

  • Other

    • Used for sources not covered above

    • Free text input for flexibility


How Source Tracking Works

  • Source is automatically captured when possible

  • You can manually select or update the source if needed

  • Some sources allow additional notes/details

Tracking job source helps you:

  • Identify top-performing recruiting channels

  • Understand candidate origins
