🛠️ Step 1: Set up the recording template

  • Navigate to Content > Templates and click + New Template.

  • Title the Conversation: We recommend using a clear name like "Pitch a role".

  • Assign the Job: Link the template to the specific job you are hiring for. This enables the AI agent to pull exact role details during the conversation.

    • Note: You can also choose to leave this blank

  • Customize Questions: Adjust the questions as needed. We recommend keeping the total recording time between 3–10 minutes.

    • Tip: The first default question is intentionally detailed to give the speaker plenty of context before they begin.

  • Important Note: Keep the Web recording only setting enabled to ensure high-quality audio capture.

    Click Create template when finished.

✉️ Step 2: Distribute the Recording Template

Once your template is created, you can immediately send it out to your team:

  • Click Send an invite to generate a personalized template email sent via Puck.

  • Type in the email addresses of the teammates or hiring managers you want to record.

    • Note: Recipients do not need to be registered users on Puck to use the link.

  • Click Show Preview > Preview email to review the message, then send.

👥 Step 3: Participant Perspective

When your teammates open the link, they will be taken directly to a clean, web recording landing page where the AI will guide them through the questions.

📁 Step 4: Access Your Content

Once the Puck team finishes processing the audio, your finalized assets are automatically delivered to your workspace.

  • Navigate to Content > Content Library in the main menu.

  • Here, you will find your new sourcing content categorized into three formats ready for use:

    • Podcasts: The full, polished audio conversations.

    • Teasers: Short, engaging audio snippets with text.

    • Quotes: Transcribed, high-impact text pull-outs.

💡 Why It Matters

  • This process collects firsthand team perspectives and role context that standard job descriptions miss.

  • Use the finalized content across job pages, email sequences, direct sourcing, and LinkedIn outreach.

  • Hearing from a peer in a similar position or location builds immediate credibility with hard-to-source job locations and niche positions.

  • Hiring managers and teammates can record their input on their own time without scheduling a meeting.

  • A human team member at Puck personally reviews the raw audio to produce your finalized, high-quality sourcing content.
