The updated version of Applicant Match makes it easier to set up match criteria, review candidate scores, and calibrate the scoring engine using feedback.

Initial Set up

1. Navigate to Applicant Match in your dashboard and click into your target job.

  • Click Set match criteria to kick off the setup.

2. The system will automatically parse your job description and generate suggested criteria.

  • Here, you can edit suggested questions or add your own

  • Set your required location radius

    • ⚠️ Note: Location acts as a top-tier hard filter. Applicants outside your specified radius will automatically receive a 0% score.

  • Click Save & apply

Review Applicants

  • Candidates still active in your pipeline are automatically sorted in descending order by their Match Score.

  • Click into any candidate profile to see a granular breakdown of how their score was calculated across your criteria.

  • If you disagree with an AI-generated match score, you can train the engine to recalculate scores based on your input:

  • On the candidate's profile, click the Thumbs Down icon and enter your written feedback explaining why the score was inaccurate.

  • Click Save.

Update Criteria

  • Click Manage criteria at the top of the page.

  • Review the updated criteria suggestions generated from your feedback, then click Save.

  • Now you'll see the score updated for the candidate

💡 Best Practices

  • Set Location First: Always configure your mile radius before opening the role to applicants to ensure out-of-bounds candidates are filtered immediately.

  • Calibrate Early: Providing feedback on the first 3–5 candidate profiles helps train the model quickly for the rest of the applicant pool.
